Apples have always been a great source of nutrients for us humans, and it is also equally useful when it comes to our canine pals too! Benefits of Apples comes in different aspects. There has been no major side effects on Dogs yet, but there are still a few pointers to take note of before serving up your Doggo some Apple treats!

This wonder fruit is loaded with nutritional benefits like high dietary fibre content and Vitamins A, C for improving overall gastrointestinal health, better coat and skin, and antioxidant qualities for a healthy, happy Dog.

Some Senior Dogs may have specific concerns with diet i.e. protein, and Apples make a great alternative treat, as it is low in protein. On top of all that, Apples are also known to clean your Doggo’s teeth and freshen up their breath! What a cheap and multi-beneficial fruit, what more can we ask for?



Precaution Notes


Naturally, always remember to remove the core and seeds of the Apples, to avoid any ingestion of poison from Cyanide (in Apple seeds). Apart from that, the high sugar levels in Apple may be a cause for concern for Dogs with diabetes, do consult your trusted Veterinarian for a proper dietary advice before serving your pooch any Apples. These three treat recipes are not meant to substitute meals for your Dogs, feed fresh apple slices or incorporate them in treats with moderation
