Homemade Oatmeal Rabbit Cookie Treats Recipe
Buns love chewing and
they got to have greens. One thing’s for sure though, it sure is tough sourcing
out Rabbit Treat Recipes! That does not mean our Bun pals can’t enjoy homemade
snacks like their other Fur-friends could, and the joy of knowing the exact
ingredients (no additives) going into
making these homemade goodies makes them even more special ☺
Oatmeal Cookies
This week
we have a recipe from Happy Days Farm, recipe and all photos are by Happy Days Farm. This is a scrumptious cookie
for Bunnies with healthy, safe every day ingredients, easily obtainable from
our local stores. Let’s have a look at it!
Ingredients
½
Banana
½
Cup Quick Oats Oatmeal
½
Cup Shredded Carrots
½
Cup Chopped Parsley
¼ Chopped
Raisins
Directions
1. After chopping all the ingredients, mix them
together.
2. After thoroughly mixing the ingredients, roll
the mixture into small balls.
3. Place
on cookie sheet, and push them flat. Bake cookies at 350' (Approximately 176 Degree Celsius) for 30
minutes, then turn oven off, and leave cookies in the oven while it cools.
This
recipe is very flexible if the cookies seem too dry, simply add a little water,
or more banana. You want the cookies to achieve a very crunchy dried out
texture. Any moisture that is left in the cookies means that they can mold.
Plus, my rabbits love things that are crunchy.
Our
Take
All the
sugars in this recipe come from natural sugars in the ingredients, and while
that is great, remember to limit the amount of treats your Bun takes, treats
are not meant to substitute meals. Feed in moderation, only occasionally. Hope
everyone’s Bunnies love this oatmeal crunch!
