Where Do Yorkshire Terriers Come From?
As the name states,
Yorkshire Terriers originated from Yorkshire,
England. Also known as Yorkie for short, this is a toy group breed that was
first bred in Yorkshire, from a variety of Terriers. These Terriers were
brought to Yorkshire from Scotland by people in search of a job, as workers of
cotton and wool factories.

What Do Yorkshire Terriers Look Like?
Yorkshire Terriers
are tiny Dogs with a maximum weight of 3.2kg, although it is also possible for
some to grow larger than said weight. Yorkshire Terriers should have silky
straight hair that normally parts from the centre of their backs.

they mature?
Grooming Requirements Of A Yorkshire Terrier
A long hair Yorkie
definitely requires some intense management, daily brushing and combing to
prevent matting and tangling. Do so to also make sure no debris are caught in
their coat! Shampooing should be a regular process too, to maintain a clean and
healthy silky coat. Clean their ears with a Vet-approved cleanser and cotton balls.

A Yorkshire Terrier Personality And Behaviour
Yorkies are an
intelligent, playful and adventurous breed, but can develop behavioural
problems without proper guidance and training like yapping and snapping at things
for no apparent reason. As they can be easily-trained, establishing a clear
leadership role with them, accompanied with regular training. With all that,
a Yorkie could very well be a loyal and lovable canine companion with an
